Dr. Nazeem Muhajarine, PhD

nazeem Nazeem is a professor and department head in the department of Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan, and a research faculty member in the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit. Nazeem is interested in how our social and physical environments contribute to our health, something he has explored in a number of studies on mothers and young children. Nazeem has done a lot of research work with community groups in Saskatoon to ensure that his research produces results that are useful to many people.

Dr. Angela Bowen, RN, PhD

angela Angela is a Registered Nurse and an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan. She is co-leading this study with Nazeem. Angela has extensive experience in obstetrics, mental health and nursing education, and she has prepared many educational materials on pregnancy for women and their caregivers. Angela is interested in improving health care services for pregnant and postpartum women.
