Thank you again for participating in the Feelings in Pregnancy and Motherhood Study (FIP).

We can confirm that 1 in 5 women in Saskatchewan are depressed in pregnancy or postpartum.  There are important effects to the mother and family if the mother is depressed.   We have started an awareness campaign "Maternal Mental Health" with resources and a website for women to access resources for depression in pregnancy. We are also continuing with our follow-up study with mothers and children at 3 and 5 years after the FIPs study, please contact us for more information.
